I like well done bacon (cooked in the oven) and I also like to save the grease for later applications.

The thing is that since the bacon is well cooked when I save the grease it has all kinds of brown flecks in it. Is this ok to eat? If not, is there any way to filter these out? Ideally I would like for it to be pure white.

pour it through a T-shirt when it is hot.

coffee filters take a long time to filter through, what I use is cheesecloth, it filters everything out and it’s fairly quick

When you get a couple of cups worth, then heat it to a high temperature and pour into a heat resistant container through a coffee filter. It needs to be hot enough when doing this, though, as hot as boiling water.

Get a sifter, put a coffee filter in the sifter & pour your grease through into you grease container.

you put the cooked bacon on a paper towel under a plate and the leftover grease you dump it out side or let it sit for a couple hours and when it turns white put it in the garbage
