FAQ about Slow Cooker Recipes For 2
Question by Jon M: I have a smaller (3 1/2 qt.) crockpot, and small family. What are your favorite slow cooker recipes?
Keep in mind, the whole purpose of the slow cooker for me is to save precious time. Thank you in advance!

Cranberry Pork roast. One 3 to 5 lb pork roast. one can of whole berry cranberries.
Brown roast in a pan, use as little oil as possible. Put roast in crock and pour the berries over ( you can add a couple of good shakes of cinnamon for a more exotic flavor) and cook on low 8 hours. The berry sauce may be thickened and served with the meat.
I just boil taters, and serve frozen mixed vegetables with this.

I bought this book, having just acquired a small slow cooker and needing some recipe ideas aimed at its small capacity. The book is American so some of the terms may not be familiar to everyone and possibly some of the ingredients may be a little hard to find in some supermarkets. Some of the cuts of meat described, I have never heard of! Altough described as recipes for 2, some of the recipes do make very large portions and are designed for larger slow cookers. On the whole though, I have found the book very useful as there are useful tips on getting the best out of your slow cooker as well as the recipes.
There are some meals for the slow cooker in the freezer section in your local store. A couple of my favorites are meat ball’s with sweet and sour sauce. or BBQ sauce. Pork Roast and Beef roast with some carrots and patoto’s and corn cover with water and forget it till supper time. Then your whole meal is done.
